Seriously #11 is a Prius, and what the hell is an Audi A2 doing there? This list is null and void.

I beg to differ, the A2 was a revolutionary car in context. Not great in the classical sense of speed and style, but in the German way of way over engineered and efficient, in terms of economy and use of space.

51 pages to click through? Fuck you, TG, ain't nobody got time for that.

Also, the A2 was a goddamn masterpiece. An amazing design and engineering effort.

I'm sure the A2 was a fine car, but mid pack on a list of the 50 greatest? It must not have even been too successful having lasted only one generation.

Veyron #1, really guys? Last I checked the McLaren F1, and Ferrari F50 were both within that 20 year mark.

They're Top Gear readers, what the fuck would you expect? Most of them cannot mention a single car manufacturer from before WWII.

look Gearheads no one cares about certain cars, anymore or there history. Ford GT40 is a great Amercian car that the rest of the world, does care about it. you have to respect cultural differences and other people, views on cars. Bugatti Veyron was the first road legal car too hit the thousand horsepower mark.

there been other cars that have been faster, but the Bugatti Veyron broke the mold and rewrote how supercars are build today. Ford GT 40 is a great car, and is respected over here in great Britain. but not everyone in the UK, like Top Gear so certain car mad Brits will not take part in this survey. you get fans who like cars, voting for cars they know and like. this is a vote. by nine millon readers worldwide that why the Prius is at number 11. I am not surprised by the VW Golf get getting second place, as it the original hot hatch back. my dad had a Golf, last 12 years love it to death. take it at face value, the Bugatti Veyron is a modern classic the car that changed the rules.

Look poseur, the Bugatti Veyron wasn't the first street car rated at 1000 HP (its actual power is 987 HP and the Lotec C1000 had reached that number before). It also didn't rewrite jack shit as supercars are still mostly lightweightish and rear-wheel-drive (the Veyron was an inflated AWD pig relying entirely on existing technologies). No one brought up the GT40.

You love a Golf? Good thing, it's pretty brave to admit love for an appliance car on a gearhead site. People who like cars wouldn't put a Prius in #11 of such a list, nor confess love for a Golf. You have no idea of how dumb you look and you'll probably never have because you think watching TG is a gearhead card.

it an open survey, fans voted and picked their favourite cars. the Bugatti Veyron did change the rulebook, as it clocked 258 mph. also have thousand horsepower, both accepted by the Guiness book of world records.

Car culture was at it peak, in 2010 not my words but that off Jeremy Clarkson. who noticed that everytime the cars, come out the rating go down. that because cars are boring and not everyone, want to know if the A pillar on the McLaren is bigger than on a Ferrari. gearheads can not accept this point, for cars to survive on Television you have to race them. an occasional road trip, and that keep cars safe on free to air mainstream british television. for all his fault Jeremy Clarkson, has kept the cars on top gear because he know he kill the classic car show. it will never come back in Britain, as there no market for it.

anyway this is, Clarkson last run in this current format. Top Gear Website put up a small notice, saying their planning how to end Top Gear for good. rumour has it that Victoria butler Henderson, will get Clarkson head presenter job. Chris Harris is not even in the running. that will change in two year time, that is when Clarkson and co will move on. you never know cars, might be back as top gear main focus in 2016.

VW Golf was one of the best hot hatchback, Britain feel in love with it because it was affordable. you could also get good insurance deal, on a hot hatchback why do you think Britain still love these cars. ford Sierra Cosworth is loved in Britain, great car affordable and easy to fix up. the original british boy racer, did not make the list. I can name 10 other car that should be on that list. but the fans have voted, and lots of great cars have not made onto the list.

for the record I know, that top gear is a entertainment show. so I cut it more slack than the gearhead do. the current top gear fans, have their right to an opinion. Jalopnik allows the gearheads, the right to reply. put up your best 50 cars list, see if you can do better darkcode.
